Mildred Murphy Dillon was a local Chestnut Hill artist. She specialized in woodcut print making, and has a large body of work ranging from the 1930s-1980s, including Etching #1 in the Barnes Foundation Museum, “Yes, Madame.”
She was an active member of the Philadelphia Art Alliance beginning in 1945 and was on the board of directors starting in 1960. She was chairman of the Rittenhouse Square Outdoor Exhibit (Clothesline Exhibit) from 1958-1970.
